Cape Town is also Africa’s most popular tourist destination. With great weather, some fantastic natural settings, wine country & wonderful golf courses a Golf holiday to CPT as its often called would be a perfect getaway.

The area in & around Capetown is home to some of South Africa’s best golf courses – located amongst the wine district, along the sea, next to mountains & inland. They are very high quality courses which would rival the best in the world. Play world class courses that include – Pearl valley, Arabella, Erinvale & Royal Cape golf on this 6 day getaway.

The package includes 3 rounds of golf & includes a round at the very highly rated Pearl valley golf course & the Arabella Golf club. The 3rd round is either at the Erinvale golf course or the Royal Cape golf course depending on availability.

Pearl valley – This is rated as the No 3 golf course in South Africa & is a 7381 yard, par 72 layout. The best course in & around Capetown it is a Jack Nicklaus design course & is managed by Troon Golf. This course was the venue for the SA open from 2007 to 2009 & is rated 74 from the Black tees.

Arabella Golf Club – Rated No 5 in SA this is a part of a Luxurious 5 star resort & was designed by Peter Matkovich. Its a 18 hole, 6978 yard, Par 72 layout, located next to South Africa’s largest lagoon. The course is close to the town of Hermanus- a very popular tourist spot & known for being a prime whale watching location. The resident Pro Alison Sheard is a Ladies British Open champion & a 9 time winner of the SA open!

Erinvale Golf Club – Rated the 23rd best course in SA. Erinvale Golf Club played host to the World Cup of Golf held in 1996 (only a year after it’s official opening) as well as the SA Open in both 2003 and 2004. The golfing experience at Erinvale Golf Course is divided into two distinctly different nines. The first nine takes you through the flatter, residential part of the estate, while the back nine makes its way upwards on the slope of the Helderberg Mountains, allowing the golfer to enjoy beautiful sea and mountain views.

Royal Cape Golf – The oldest golf course in SA, the first round of golf was played here in 1906. This is a championship course & has been the venue for 10 South African opens.

Dress Code for the Golf Course
Most courses do not permit denims, collarless shirts or sports shoes. Please note that not all golf courses allow shorts to be worn(varies by geography). To save any problems please carry a pair of trousers. Golf shoes should be soft spikes as many courses only permit these.
